Moving

One nice thing about the Internet is that even when we move from this house, where we raised our family, my address here at Pandababy won't change.

Yes, after twenty-three years in this house, we are putting it up for sale. I'm packing up my books, Leo is throwing out clutter from the garage, and my niece, a John. L. Scott broker, is coming over to list the property next Monday. We are moving to an apartment (no yard, just a balcony).

I don't even have time right now to read Hawkspar, which arrived yesterday. Holly's books make me think, and once I have some time at night to read, I'm too tired to think. Oh well, back to sorting, tossing, packing...

Some new apartments in the same zip code is the plan - it depends on whether they fill up before the house sells. Ironically, it takes the same effort (minus the driving) to move a few miles or a few hundred miles: pack it all up, load it in a truck (or in our case, a POD), then reverse procedures, and unload, unpack. The thing that is wearing me out is all the decisions: separate the junk, send the rest we don't want to Goodwill, except for a few gifts for relatives, what to pack for storage, what to pack for immediate use... It is all the sorting, sorting, sorting. I'm terribly cranky over it. After all you went through in your move, I should be ashamed to complain. It's just sorting stuff.
